On February 25, students from Aspire Academy enjoyed a concert at Sheldon Concert Hall. Music teacher Jennifer Campbell sent us a short note about their experience, along with quotes from a few students.
“Today, we took 23 fourth-grade students to the Sheldon Concert Hall to see “Nothin’ but the Blues,” a concert that exposed the children to the origins and evolution of blues music. They had a great time!
“We learned about different types of instruments. I had fun!” - Zariya Miller
“We learned about where blues music came from.”
- Kelvin Cummings, Trenton Livingston, Devin Chandler
