Last month, our board of directors honored Mr. Wesley Smith as distinguished faculty of the month. He was honored for all his hard work and dedication toward the GCAA choir program. Not one to rest on his laurels, Mr. Smith took the GCAA choir to a competition in Colorado Springs all last week. At the Colorado Springs Heritage Festival, GCAA’s high school choir received a clean sweep of Gold Ratings and First Place rankings. But it doesn’t stop there; they won Adjudicator Award for two of three choirs, Outstanding Choral Group Award to Advance Treble Choir (for highest overall score), Sweepstakes Choral Program Award to Best Overall Program, and an Ovation Award to senior Kyree Hamilton for stewardship and service. Congrats to Mr. Smith and his choir students!
